The Pursuit Internship(See video below) The Pursuit Internship is designed as a time to set oneself apart from the rigors of daily life and be given fully to pursuing the knowledge of the Lord. This internship is an intense, three-month season of consecration tailored to young adults who have an ache in their soul to know the deep emotions of the Living God. The Pursuit provides the perfect environment for any 18-25 year-old hungering after a more satisfying way of life and thirsting for true intimacy with Jesus. In light of the times, there is no wiser course than investing a season of one's life as an offering of love in pursuit of God. God desires to call you by name and mark you for eternity. He desires to pursue you with greater intensity than you could ever pursue Him. Our desire is to provide a context for young adults, those with hunger for God and a passion to know Him intimately, to be equipped and released into a relationship with God that consumes. Ultimately, we are made to know God through encounter and The Pursuit is designed to bring experience in concert with instruction. When both successfully come together we are introduced to a God that is beyond our imaginations. This program exists to immerse 18 - 25 year-olds in the knowledge of God; to provide an environment of intense intimacy with this uncreated Father who desires to fascinate His children with His beauty and to equip lovesick hearts to pursue this holy, passionate God they will encounter in prayer. CalendarEncounter Service11/23/2008 10:00am - 1:00pmThe IHOP Atlanta Encounter Service is held twice weekly, on Sundays at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Each service incorporates prophetic worship, Biblical teaching, prayer, and ministry times. Each service is geared to call individuals to a depth of the knowledge of God, intimacy with Jesus, urgency for the hour, and the Sermon on the Mount lifestyle. Through proclamation and impartation, each service is focused on providing a place for encounter with God for the individual, as well as generating a shift in the spiritual atmosphere over the city of Atlanta. GSM: Book of Acts11/24/2008 6:00pm - 8:00pmThe early disciples sold their possessions and gave as anyone had need. When the first apostles preached the gospel, either thousands were saved or riots broke out. The early church's response to the broken and hurting world was, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk." It is our hope that an honest look into the book of Acts will utterly convict us and lead us into a lifestyle of authentic Christianity, that we might become a people that will again "turn the world upside down." Staff Intercession Meeting11/25/2008 4:00pm - 6:00pmTuesday is a designated prayer and fasting day for IHOP Atlanta staff and family. We have scheduled intercession meetings at 10 a.m., 4 p.m., 8 p.m., and midnight. We ask that all staff make it a priority to attend the weekly Tuesday 4 p.m. intercession meeting, as this is the one time weekly that we come together as a community for worship and intercession. Full-time staff are required to attend the 4 p.m. and an additional intercession meeting on Tuesday. Part-time staff are required to attend only the 4 p.m. intercession meeting. This meeting is open to the public as are all IHOP Atlanta prayer meetings GSM: Bride of Christ11/25/2008 6:00pm - 8:00pmEphesians 5 discusses the mystery of the joining of a man and woman as a symbol that points to a greater reality: the eternal union of Christ and His Church. This mystery is revealed throughout the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. This class will discuss the Bridal Paradigm of the kingdom, the major symbols of the Bride throughout the Bible as well as the Bride at the end of the age. GSM: Life of David11/25/2008 6:00pm - 8:00pmThe life of David, the son of Jesse, is a fascinating journey of hope and struggle, pain and promotion, despair and victory. We gain significant insight into the character of God through understanding David’s perspective of God in the place of strength as well as weakness. We will contrast seasons of David’s life with the psalms that he authored during those specific times. The study of the life of David is a study of the kindness and goodness of God toward weak people whom He so deeply desires. |
