IHOP ATLANTA'S ENCOUNTER TEEN CAMPThis generation of teenagers is crying out for something real from heaven. No longer are they satisfied to know only what others say about God. They want to encounter Him for themselves, know the power of His love, and be forever changed. IHOP Atlanta's Encounter Camp is a one-week journey into the heart of God that will literally transform your life. If you are hungry for an encounter with Jesus, this camp is for you. Apart of this, we believe that the Lord is setting apart many in this generation as burning and shining lamps like John the Baptist, a voice of one crying in the wilderness, preparing the way of the Lord. This camp will be a catalyst for many to set aside the fleeting pleasures of this life for the exceeding pleasures of knowing Jesus. To be forerunners who prepare the way for Jesus' second coming to the planet. Geared specifically for young people, ages 13-19, the Encounter Camp will include times of prayer, teaching, Bible study, fellowship, prophetic ministry and outreach. Each night teens will attend Encounter Services led by Billy Humphrey and other key speakers from the IHOP Atlanta Missions Base. Each Encounter Service will have times of worship, preaching and personal ministry. GSM: The Attributes of God3/15/2010 6:00pm - 8:00pmOne of the most neglected topics in Christianity is the subject of who God is. Many run to and fro, trying to figure out what God wants them to do, but never take the time to get to know God personally. A.W. Tozer notes that when we worship our own idea of who God is, rather than worshiping God as He really is, we are committing idolatry. This class will focus on uncovering what God has revealed to us about His nature. In pursuit of a true knowledge of God, we will explore the different facets of God's character as revealed in the Bible. |
