Intro

(See video below)

Intro is a three-month training program for people of all ages and backgrounds, including families. The aim of Intro is to introduce people to the vision and values of IHOP Atlanta and to allow them to experience first-hand what it would be like to be on staff at the House of Prayer. Though this program does serve as a means of training new staff at IHOP Atlanta, it is not solely for those who want to move here and join staff. It is also open to anyone interested in finding out what the House of Prayer is all about, as well as those desiring to spend a season of consecration before the Lord.

Intro participants will be actively involved in many of the various facets of the IHOP Atlanta Missions Base. This involvement will include taking School of Ministry classes, spending times of personal devotion in the prayer room, learning the Harp and Bowl model of prayer and worship, assisting with Helps Ministry Departments, and participating in corporate intercession sets. This training program has three primary focuses: growing in intimacy with God, developing urgency for the hour in which we live, and cultivating a lifestyle of prayer and fasting in order to “prepare the way of the Lord.”

Additional topics covered will include: Growing in the Spirit of Prophecy, Praying the Apostolic Prayers, Biblical Stewardship of Finances, Dream Interpretation, Israel and the Kingdom, Foundations of the Tabernacle of David, The New Covenant Priesthood, and The Sermon on the Mount.

We invite you to come and join this community of like-minded believers who are seeking to love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30).

GSM: Book of Acts
11/24/2008 6:00pm - 8:00pm
The early disciples sold their possessions and gave as anyone had need. When the first apostles preached the gospel, either thousands were saved or riots broke out. The early church's response to the broken and hurting world was, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk." It is our hope that an honest look into the book of Acts will utterly convict us and lead us into a lifestyle of authentic Christianity, that we might become a people that will again "turn the world upside down."
Staff Intercession Meeting
11/25/2008 4:00pm - 6:00pm
Tuesday is a designated prayer and fasting day for IHOP Atlanta staff and family. We have scheduled intercession meetings at 10 a.m., 4 p.m., 8 p.m., and midnight. We ask that all staff make it a priority to attend the weekly Tuesday 4 p.m. intercession meeting, as this is the one time weekly that we come together as a community for worship and intercession. Full-time staff are required to attend the 4 p.m. and an additional intercession meeting on Tuesday. Part-time staff are required to attend only the 4 p.m. intercession meeting. This meeting is open to the public as are all IHOP Atlanta prayer meetings
GSM: Bride of Christ
11/25/2008 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Ephesians 5 discusses the mystery of the joining of a man and woman as a symbol that points to a greater reality: the eternal union of Christ and His Church. This mystery is revealed throughout the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. This class will discuss the Bridal Paradigm of the kingdom, the major symbols of the Bride throughout the Bible as well as the Bride at the end of the age.
GSM: Life of David
11/25/2008 6:00pm - 8:00pm
The life of David, the son of Jesse, is a fascinating journey of hope and struggle, pain and promotion, despair and victory. We gain significant insight into the character of God through understanding David’s perspective of God in the place of strength as well as weakness. We will contrast seasons of David’s life with the psalms that he authored during those specific times. The study of the life of David is a study of the kindness and goodness of God toward weak people whom He so deeply desires.
