











Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat does the weekly schedule look like for the Joshua Internship Joshua Internship interns will be involved with IHOP Atlanta Missions Base activities at least 40-45 hours per week. This will involve weekly internship and school of ministry classes, prayer room hours and helps ministry hours. Some prayer room hours will be individually determined. There will also be times of community building and occasional seminars or conferences. I am younger than 50 but I feel drawn to do the Joshua Internship Absolutely! The Joshua Internship is for mature adults who are near 50 or older than 50. If you are younger than 50, you are more than welcome to join the internship. What is the housing situation for Joshua Internship participants? Married couples and families are responsible for finding their own housing arrangements. Singles may apply for accommodations in IHOP Atlanta's intern housing condominiums. Housing for single Joshua Internship participants is only offered if there is space available and is on a first-come, first-served basis. The IHOP Atlanta condominiums residents are grouped by gender. Each condominium is fully furnished and will accommodate between 6 to 8 individuals. Residents who are participating in IHOP Atlanta's Pursuit and Watch internships will be under the supervision of Resident Assistants, but RA's will not be provided for Joshua Internship participants. All those in IHOP Atlanta housing will be expected to abide by the rules and regulations of the Housing Department, which will include regular inspections of each residence. Alcohol and tobacco products are not permitted. How do I apply for IHOP Atlanta housing? If you are single, you may fill out the Housing Application and send it in the same envelope as your Joshua Internship Application. Do I need a car? All Joshua Internship participants must provide their own reliable transportation. Exceptions are possible with prior approval. All personal vehicles must have valid insurance coverage. Do I need a laptop computer? Much of the day-to-day communication at IHOP Atlanta takes place over the internet through email. It is highly recommended, but not required that Joshua Internship participants have at least one laptop computer per family. Laptops are very helpful not only for communication, but also for Bible study and journaling. Laptops should have a wireless network card and a Bible Study program. What personal expenses should I expect? You are responsible for providing the necessary personal finances to cover your food, housing, social activities, and any other personal expenditures during the program. Are there any other rules for Joshua Internship participants? You are expected to be free of any personal addictions (to alcohol, drugs, tobacco, pornography, etc.) before applying for the Joshua Internship. Due to the intensity of this program, it is recommended that you be free from any such addictions for at least six months prior to your arrival. Our desire is for Joshua Internship participants to be able to focus their undivided attention upon the Lord, rather than struggling with frequent temptations in the area of recently overcome addictions. Attendance during all scheduled Joshua Internship hours is required in order to remain in the program. Exceptions will be made for illnesses and family emergencies. Will I be able to have a part-time job during the Joshua Internship? Because your time will be scheduled for at least 40 hours per week, holding down a part-time job during the Joshua internship would be very difficult. It is recommended that you have enough finances to cover all of you expenses for the three month duration of the internship before starting the program. If you decide to attempt a part-time job during the Joshua internship, your work must be planned so as not to conflict with the Joshua program schedule. Are meals provided in the cost of the program? No, except for occasional community times no meals are provided. All Joshua participants will be responsible for buying and preparing their own meals. When is the Joshua Internship offered? Staff Intercession Meeting9/14/2010 4:00pm - 6:00pmTuesday is a designated prayer and fasting day for IHOP Atlanta staff and family. We have scheduled intercession meetings at 10 a.m., 4 p.m., 8 p.m., and midnight. We ask that all staff make it a priority to attend the weekly Tuesday 4 p.m. intercession meeting, as this is the one time weekly that we come together as a community for worship and intercession. Full-time staff are required to attend the 4 p.m. and an additional intercession meeting on Tuesday. Part-time staff are required to attend only the 4 p.m. intercession meeting. This meeting is open to the public as are all IHOP Atlanta prayer meetings Silent Siege9/18/2010 11:00am - 1:00pmWe are meeting the first and third Saturday of the month from 11am - 1pm. Bound for Life Atlanta Silent Sieges take place at the GA State Capitol in downtown ATL on Washington St. A silent siege is a two-hour prayer meeting where intercessors stand in front of a local abortion clinic, wearing red life tape over their mouth, identifying with the silent cries of the unborn, asking God to come with justice, to end abortion, and to send revival to America.
